Trade Rescue – Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Trade Rescue’s website and booking services. By making a booking through Trade Rescue, you agree to be legally bound by the terms outlined herein.
By completing a booking with Trade Rescue — whether online, by phone, email, or SMS — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full. This agreement is legally binding, even if you do not expressly acknowledge or reply to any confirmation message containing these terms.
2. Definitions
-
Company means Trdersce Limited, trading as Trade Rescue.
-
Customer refers to any individual or entity using Trade Rescue to request a service.
-
Contractor means the independent, self-employed tradesperson (e.g. electrician, plumber, gas engineer, locksmith, pest controller) who attends the customer’s property.
-
Works refer to the services or repairs carried out by the contractor.
-
Services refer to the introduction and booking facilitation provided by Trade Rescue to connect the customer with a contractor.
3. Nature of Our Service
Trade Rescue operates solely as a referral and booking platform. We act as an introducer, matching customers with independent, self-employed contractors who provide emergency trades services.
Once a booking is confirmed and a contractor has been dispatched, Trade Rescue’s role is considered fully complete. At this point, all further dealings — including assessment, pricing, and the decision to proceed with works — are solely between the customer and the attending contractor.
Trade Rescue is not a party to any contract for the provision of works and accepts no liability for the conduct, advice, or work undertaken by the contractor.
4. Booking Fee
The booking fee paid to Trade Rescue is a non-refundable fee that covers the administrative cost of locating and dispatching an appropriate contractor. Once a contractor has been dispatched, the booking is deemed fulfilled, and no refund of the booking fee will be issued under any circumstances, regardless of whether the customer proceeds with the works.
Customers are under no obligation to proceed with any work offered or quoted by the contractor upon arrival. If no work is carried out, no payment is due to the contractor, but the booking fee remains non-refundable.
7. Cancellation & Refunds
-
All cancellations must be made in writing via email. SMS or verbal cancellations are not accepted.
-
If a contractor has already been dispatched, the booking fee is strictly non-refundable.
-
If no contractor has been dispatched, a 50% refund may be considered at our discretion to cover administrative processing.
-
Bookings for urgent/emergency services are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, once the service has been requested and confirmed.
8. Access & Safety
The customer must provide safe and adequate access to the property. Failure to do so may result in the service not being carried out, with the booking fee still payable.
9. Permits & Approvals
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any required permissions, landlord consents, or legal approvals are in place before any work begins. Trade Rescue and its contractors accept no liability for unauthorised works.
10. Guarantees & Insurance
Any guarantees or warranties for the works are provided exclusively by the attending contractor. Contractors are responsible for holding their own insurance and regulatory certifications (e.g. Gas Safe).
11. Customer Responsibilities
-
The customer must verify the identity and credentials of the contractor before allowing access.
-
Any discussions, agreements, or payments made after dispatch are between the customer and contractor.
-
Trade Rescue is not responsible for the outcome of the works or any dissatisfaction with pricing or advice given.
12. Payments
By making a booking, you authorise Trade Rescue to charge your card for the agreed booking fee. Payment details are processed securely and may be retained for future use, subject to GDPR.
